Limestone Networks - Notice history

The failed core router is replaced and the network in the region has been normalized and returned to full redundancy.

We are beginning work to replace the failed core router.

Our team and the required equipment have arrived at the site and are preparing to replace the equipment. Preparation work will take some time, and we will update once we are beginning the work to replace the failed core router.

We have personnel and equipment in transit to the site and expect to begin emergency maintenance to replace the failed router around 6PM site local time (EDT). We will provide further updates once everything is in place and work is set to begin.

Our site team has determined that core2.mia1 has failed. core1.mia1 remains in normal operation and our site team has added additional capacity to this router to assist in managing peak traffic load. The site is stable but running with reduced redundancy for the time being until core2.mia1 is restored. We are working with our site team and vendor to determine next steps, which will materialize Friday morning local time. We will provide an update at that time with estimated scheduling for emergency maintenance to replace the failed core router.

The vendor has located and repaired the damaged fiber. Service is now restored, and SLC1 to SLC2 connectivity has returned to full capacity.

Our vendor's OSP team has arrived on site and is moving between splices along the 12km segment to locate the damaged fiber.

The network in the region was temporarily destabilized due to an attack, but has now stabilized. We are continuing to monitor.
